Scott in Flat Rock
Hello all: Does anyone know if the date on the bottom of Tetra EasyStrips container is a manufacture date or an expiration date? I inherited a bottle of these strips with the CL BC 29 I just purchased that has a date of 2014 on it. It doesn't seem that the colors for some of the tests match the chart at all so I wonder if the strips are expired? Does anyone know how long these are good for? My only LFS doesn't really have any kits in stock so I will need to order something online, meantime, I need to verify my water levels. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment
Tamberav
The strips are garbage anyways, you want a liquid test kit. I would toss them. Link to comment
Scott in Flat Rock
Can't argue with that. I purchased some API strips from the LFS - the only thing they carry - and the NO3 and NO2 readings are way lower than the Tetra were reading. I'll be ordering a good liquid kit soon. Any recommendations? Link to comment
