Ive got a black MDF stand that i would like to paint white. Any assistance with primer and paint to use would be great. Thank you.

I painted the inside of my black mdf cabinet white. I used white oil based Kilz primer (3 coats) and a top quality white latex water resistant paint. So far so good, though tank has benn running only 2 weeks.

Do not paint it inside, even with windows open.

Maybe instead of waiting less than two hours for a response you should have thought of more details to post.

If you're that antsy and low informed try your google machine.

it might not hurt to give a light surface sanding with a rough grit paper to give the paint something better to adhere to.

Kilz is good stuff. just remember you can paint latex over oil but not oil over latex.

Depends how much you want to spend on paint but it's tough to beat Benjamin Moore. The Regal or Aura exterior line is what I would use, it's bulletproof and doesn't take a million coats to cover. They also sell a primer called Fresh Start that's great. It will cost you of course, but you won't end up redoing it every six months. For a nice finish on mdf I'd use a foam or 1/4 nap roller if you want it smooth.
