I spend 80% of my day sitting at my desk in my room studying, so I might as well have something nice to look at while being miserable. After months of wanting to start a new tank and after spending the past few weeks researching and putting everything together, I pulled the trigger today and ordered everything. At first I wanted to start a Mr. Aqua 12g long, because my old college roommate had one in our house and I loved the dimensions. But apparently those tanks have been discontinued, so I was told about Mr. Aqua's new 22g long tanks. I did my research, made an equipment list, and went looking for a stand. I was getting ready to build a custom stand when I found a nice cheap stand at Petco. I bought it and once I got home, I ordered everything else. So without further ado, my equipment list: Tank:Mr. Aqua 22g long - 36x12x12 Light:36" Current USA TrueLumen Pro Deepwater Blue Actinic LED StripLightPossibly a second strip in the future, either another Deepwater Blue or Marine Fusion - a combination of blue and white LEDs for a fuller spectrum Filtration:AquaClear 70 HOB with inTank media basket and surface skimmerI don't have the time, money, nor space for a sump, and the AquaClear filters haven't failed me yet Water movement:2 Hydor Koralia 240gph powerheadsCheap and effective Stocking:Pair of clowns 6 line wrasse 5 zoas 3 acans 2 blastos war coral duncan torch Lepto Red goni Montipora setosa Cleaner Shrimp Tank is wet on March 15, 2016. It's all about time management, something I like to think I am very good at. I work long enough during the week so my weekends are usually free. I don't anticipate having any problems keeping up with tank maintenance. Link to comment

I work long enough during the week so my weekends are usually free. I don't anticipate having any problems keeping up with tank maintenance. That's good, I may be in the same boat as you next year so this may be an interesting thread to follow Link to comment

And it looks like everything else besides the light will be arriving tomorrow as well. One of my packages from Amazon somehow ended up in up-state New York. Luckily it's not an important piece, just a dimmer switch for the light. But now I need to figure out how to get that package. But at least I'll have the weekend to set everything up. Wasn't expecting that when I placed the order on Tuesday. Link to comment

I already had to order a new one My other one is in use on my other tank down in Florida at my parents' house. I knew something was up when I saw the trail of packing peanuts leading from the curb to my front door. Then when I brought it upstairs I heard the sound of glass moving in the box. Opened the box and sure enough.. shattered. Thankfully Marine Depot is already shipping me a replacement, but I really wanted to take this weekend to get everything set up. Oh well. Link to comment

I was nervous when I got home to mine. Mine was laying on it's side in front of my.. it didnt look too good but luckily the tank wasn't shattered. Link to comment

The tank was shipped from their new east coast warehouse, and lets just say these new east coast guys didn't do as good a job as the west coasters at packing the tank. Hopefully they used a little more bubble wrap this time Here are the last 2 tanks out of the box we ordered from Marine Depot. And here is how this tank was packed. Their customer service has been great and they said they will address the issue. Link to comment
