So I'm setting this pico reef up in around 3 months. What would be a good combo of inverts (or fish if possible?). Cheers

I meant like 50s-low low 60s and hopefully Pacific Northwest Oregon area, I don't know I really ant to make a stand and hold out of wood as well

Hermits, and snails, maybe a shore crab. A couple aggregating anemones would be cool. For fish, a small goby, maybe like a catalina. 2.5 gallons is very small. I have a 20 gallon tide pool tank, but used to have a 3 gallon. In the three gallon, I felt like my choices were very limited.

how do you plan to keep the temps so low? with such a small amount of water i would guess it will be room temperature at all times without a chiller.

fucus, laminaria, Enteromorpha spp., porphyra, codium

your tank size might restrict the nori algaes

i have no experience with them, because of their requirements for cold water but maybe look more into a catalina goby.
