Cove
I've been tankless for a few months now, I tried going bigger with a sump but it was too much work balancing that with school + work. For those who remember, my last tank was a Fusion 20 but I sold it due to the lack of display space. The dimensions of this tank offer a lot more opportunities for scaping.Display Tank: IM Nuvo Fusion 25 gallon LagoonDisplay Lighting: Ecotech Marine XR15w ProFiltration: inTank media basket + inTank filter floss holderSystem Water: RO/DI mixed with Aqua Forest Reef Salt Display Water circulation: MP10qd + 2x Eheim 600 Heater: Cobalt Neo Therm 100w Livestock: 2x Wyoming White ClownfishBanggai Cardinal Royal Gramma CUC & Inverts:Cerith snailsTurbo SnailBlue Leg Hermits Sand Sifting StarfishCoral: Softies, LPS, SPS, Zoas + Palys Link to comment

805reef
You don't need a skimmer for a tank this size. Weekly water changes will for just fine. I'm running my lagoon was an sps tank and all I use is the mini reactor with carbon and gfo. I have no nutrients problems. I do only have two clowns though Link to comment

I do only have two clowns though In my old fusion 20 I had 6 fish with really good results, no skimmers or reactors. Im just wondering if there is an added benefit to having them. Sounds like if I do weekly 5 gallon water changes I should be fine. Link to comment

That's what I've been doing in mine, but, the skimmer definitely aids in pulling junk, other wise my skimmer cup would be cleaner. Lol. Ultimately you probably don't have to have one,but it definitely isn't a bad thing to add either for a little extra clean. Link to comment

My only thing with the Lagoon tanks is they are designed for use with IM Products and if I could avoid the Ghost skimmer I will, having said that the reactor is something I may consider. You mentioned the Reef Octopus skimmer above, its hard to find specific stuff here in Canada. Our LFS dont have a great selection. Link to comment

Marine depot carries them,I dunno if they ship your way or if it's cost prohibitive. Link to comment

Shipping with Canada is expensive enough. Crossing boarder is quite bad. Heck we cant even fly 45 minutes with out paying $500 Link to comment

Pets and Ponds also carries it (but currently out of stock/unavailable listing), as well J&L Aquatics also carries them, so thankfully there are still options for online shopping ^_^ Link to comment

Cove
Cant believe I forgot about my thread. So I started the tank in June, and its been doing great. I took things really slow this time around, I don't regret it one bit. I divided my scape into 3 islands. Front and centre- sofites/zoas, back left- LPS, back right-SPS. For a very long time I only had clownfish and I added a Pygmy Possum Wrasse in August but it swam into my MP10 like the rest of the ones I purchased in my last tank. Last night I picked up a Royal Gramma and an African Flame Back Angelfish. Insanely excited about these fish. Im deciding on finishing there or adding two more fish. Possibly a Swalesi Basslet and a Midas Blenny. More pics to come. Link to comment

Cove
Looking good! How have the new fish settled in? Really nicely! Just yesterday, I saw them comfortably roaming around the tank, and theyre finally not afraid of me when I approach the tank The hardest part is getting a good picture of them on my iphone, but im working on it.
