jack1978
The tank is 12" deep. The light would be ~22" above the clam. So, clam is on the sandbed? What are the dimensions of your tank....how long is the tank? At 22" in depth from the light you'll probably want the clam directly below the light....not off to the sides. Otherwise, you should be fine. Watch the clam and bump the lighting up as needed. What percentages are you running it at now? Link to comment

What percentages are you running it at now? I don't have a clam yet, I want to make sure I have a suitable environment for one one before making a purchase . I have the IM Fusion Lagoon 25G. The tank dimensions are 24" x 20" x 12". My light is roughly ~12" above the water line. Ultimately, I would plan on placing the clam on one of my rocks. All in all, the distance between the top of the clam's mantle and light fixture would be about ~22". The light intensity for the blue channel is at 70% and the white channel is at 50%. The type of clam I would like to get is a crocea . Link to comment

Cool, thanks for the help dudes. Lastly, none of the LFS here seem to carry clams, do you have a place you would recommend buying them from online? Or is this an absolute no no? Link to comment
