Roshan8768
Hi guys! Had this up for a little over 18 months 2-3 years ago, and decided to set it back up last October. The link to the old setup can be found in my sig. Equipment: 2.5 Gallon AGA Aquatech 5-15 HOB filter PAR30 Coral Compulsion led bulb Fish and Inverts: 1 red leg hermit crab 1 banded trochus snail 1 maroon clownfish Coral: Duncan Eagle eye zoas Radioactive dragon eye zoas Candy Cane Coral Goniopora Everything has been in the tank since last October except the frag of candy canes and goniopora which I just picked up. The tank is unheated and usually runs around 76 degrees. Both the zoas and duncan have shown good growth since. I started with a 2 polyp frag of the duncans and now have 5 plus a couple of new babies. Zoas have also probably grown a couple new "ring" of polyps around the edges of the colony. This tank gets a 100% waterchange every week and I have never had an issue with nutrients in this tank (probably because I watch my feedings and have a BB). Before you start harping on the clownfish, it is temporary and I will trade him in or put him in my 40 breeder if/when I break this tank down. I will have pics up soon! Link to comment
ReefJar
Can't wait to see the pics! Link to comment
Roshan8768
Everything is a little pissed off because I roughed them up a little gluing them down to my rock work last night. Hopefully things will be opening up fully soon. Had decent extension on the goniopora and the feeder tentacles where out on the candy cane this morning. Link to comment
Roshan8768
Hey guys! Have been bad about updating stuff. I made a couple of videos and uploaded them today. First one is from a couple of weeks ago. Excuse the dirty glass and enjoy the theatrics of the hermit . Please watch in 1080P HD!!! Picked up a bunch of frags today: Some kind of green acro Red/pink birdsnest Xenia Blue symopdium All for $40!!! I mounted the Acro on a magnet which is on the back wall of the tank. I took the video about 2-3 hrs after adding everything so everything looks a little pissed off. Enjoy! And as always watch in HD Link to comment
Nanomaniac
Looking good, a 2.5 gallon is a great size for a pico reef. Link to comment
Roshan8768
Looking good, a 2.5 gallon is a great size for a pico reef. Thanks! I think so, poses some unique challenges but if you stock appropriately it can be very easy to maintain Link to comment
Roshan8768
Knocked some stuff over on accident, looks almost the same though. Everything is happy except for the xenia, no idea why Link to comment
