FlamingPrawn
My name's Robby & I've been reefing on-and-off now since 2010. It all began with my first aquarium when I was younger and visiting my uncle who used to breed seahorses and clownfish. Anyways... I've been on and off due to moving, college, life, etc. But now we are finally settled in our own home, college degree, full time job, and a VERY supportive Fiancé . Also, I don't think Tidal Gardens is very popular on here (yet) but I work for Than sometimes & film the camera for our monthly live sales! I highly recommend tuning in and giving me a shout out if you watch! FlamingPrawn
Time for an update (finally). Got the light figured out how I like it and the zoas have responded extremely well! To the point where I will feel confident adding new zoas on a regular basis and not have to worry about them! Picture time! And the Full room shot With my job I get to work from home 2-3 days a week. Becoming my favorite room. Also wanted to include my light schedule for those curious. Link to comment
Halo_003
Very cool, I would love to get one of those to go on my desk sometime. IMO you should do zoas and gorgonianss and fill it up with 5-6 Flaming Prawn Gobies, that's what I would love to do with one of these. They do much better as a group I think, it helps them be more social and you'll actually see them more often with multiple. Link to comment

Damn that sucks, they are $30 at one of my LFSs lol. I definitely recommend a group though if you go with them, you will never see a single one. Link to comment

Uh buy me three of them and i'll pay you $50 for each and shipping Your tank is progressing nicely and I enjoy seeing it in its setting. Thanks Good to finally have a light that supports life + an RODI system. The well water was my biggest issue I think in the beginning stages Link to comment

D Z
Uhhh did you not hear about the guy that put himself and entire family in the hospital after boiling rock inside their house. Other than that the tank looks like it's off to a great start. Link to comment

Lol it was all dry rock. I am really against using live rock just because of the chances of creepy crawlys and who knows what else that can be introduced - and i ALWAYS dip before adding coral . But no i didn't read that article, I'd be really interested in it if you can find it! Probably some type of palythoa releasing toxic fumes Like it! Alot. Im feeling the need to go buy a pico now. I LOVE my Cad4. With that being said there are a couple things that need tweaked: 1. return hole is WAY too low. I had to drill it up higher and use a piece of plexi to cover the old hole. 2. Return pump blows (this is with any AIO though haha) 3. Still struggling to find a media basket that fits 4. Dislike the light, but once again that's with an AIO 5. the curved glass makes it difficult to use the glass cleaner to get into the corners. Have to use a brush but that's me being picky Link to comment

FlamingPrawn
Well i'm a dummy and proud to say I've joined an Elite Group of Reefers this morning... Left the RODI on ALL NIGHT LONG. Thankfully the rooms it's in has a drain in the middle. . I realized it when I went to take a shower this morning and the water pressure was pathetic and extremely cold. Link to comment

FlamingPrawn
Been awhile since an update... some big chances went down. Picked up some new zoas: pink plasmas, purple deaths, green star polyps... and traded my AI Prime for a Mini Tide . Below are my settings and i'm curious what everyone thinks. Its a storm controller, no bluefish PMW day: Ch1 - 165, ch2 -58 ch3 - 0 PWM night:ch1 - 0, ch2 - 0, ch3 - 10 Sunrise mode: manual Sunrise time: 8:00 Sunset time: 19:00 Ramp timer: 90 mins Ramp delay: ch1-0, ch2-60 Cloud freq :1 Cloud channels: ch2 - 1 Moonphase Adjust: on Maybe i've just been always doing this wrong but the light settings I provided seemed rather dim at max? or does this seem sufficient? Oh and the frag tank got a new inhabitant I just couldn't pass up for $20 Link to comment
FlamingPrawn
Picked up some new corals from the Tidal Gardens live sale. I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend checking them out. Granted they can be kinda expensive but the quality of coral is NEVER up to question. And a bonus picture of my ferocious Wolves Link to comment
