holy carp Posted February 14, 2016 Share Posted February 14, 2016 Disher, I have a some purple death palys growing out, but so far they're much smaller - only 2-4 polyps. Probably not worth the shipping from NY to TX, but if you're interested, let me know. They keep popping up in my Bam Bam cluster, so I separate them and grow them out, but they start out as individual polyps, so it might be another few months before they grow to 10+. Now if you want Bam Bams with a couple Purple Deaths mixed in... Link to comment

holy carp Posted March 29, 2016 Share Posted March 29, 2016 Disher, I had fragged up that original colony by the time you ask for a pic. I was finally able to get a reasonable photo of the section that has the PD's in it - purple deaths are hard for me to photograph with a cell phone, because their color really shows under blue light, but you need a filter or white balance adjustment to capture it. I'll keep you updated on the other frag as it progresses - I think it has 4 or 5 polyps right now. They don't reproduce as fast as those bam bams, which is probably why they are just lone heads popping through. Link to comment
