This is my nano tank/introduction post. The past few months I have been a visitor reading info on here but have just now officially joined. This is my 1st saltwater aquarium, have a (large 5+ year cichlid freshwater tank at my parents) and I am in love with reefing. I live in a 1 bedroom appt in Indianapolis now and needed something that could be moved easily and not to big. So I narrowed my tank search to the Biocube 29 and the IM nuvo 20. Thanks for anyone who responds.

 

Been going since about October 2015

 

Here is my equipment list:

• Innovative Marine Nuvo 20 AIO Tank
• Kessil A360WE Tuna Blue with gooseneck mount
• Intank Upgraded media baskets (filter floss and Chemi-Pure Blue Nano)
• Tunze Nano Protein Skimmer 9001 (main chamber, 2 return pumps, stock and Eheim 600)
• Cobalt Neotherm 100w Heater
• Hydor Koralia Nano 240 GPM
• Cheap Digital Thermometer
• My grandfather built me the stand, I painted it with primer and bought the knob off Ebay

 

Started with 21 Pounds Reef Saver Dry Rock, and Live Sand

 

Fish/Inverts:

• 1 Clown Fish
• 1 Coral Beauty Dwarf Angel
• 1 Pearly Jawfish (had a pair, one jumped out )
• 1 or 2 Peppermint shrimp (had two but only ever see 1 I think)
• 1 Blue Leg Hermit Crab
• 2 Red Leg Hermit Crab
• 4 Very Small Snails
• 2 Emerald Crab
• Numerous Coral Frags,

 

Future Purchases:

• 1 Pistol Shrimp
• Kessil Specral Controller (ordered)
• IM Desktop Media Reactor
• Tunze ATO
• Stronger Circulation Pump

Picked up some new frags for my birthday, a Peach and a Bi-Color metallic hammer, a green stylopora, and a green plating montipora. And a tree looking coral that I can't remember what it is called, pocillapora?

 

Will post pics soon, also ordered my Kessil Spectral controller.

I like your rockscape! I'm a bit obsessed with different tank layouts right now; I want a second tank sometime in the next year, maybe a 20, and looking at all the different design approaches is kinda my thing at the moment. I'll bet your inverts are happy with all the caves and crevices and whatnot.

UPDATE: 02/25/2016, My Coral Beauty came down with Ich. (should have quarantined when I put him in) So all three fish are in a hospital tank getting copper safe treatment. And here is the Nuvo with the newest corals I picked up on the 15th as a birthday gift to myself. Also picked up a small acrylic magnetic frag rack on eBay for my smallest frags.
