basser1
Hey gang, just messing around on e-bay tonight, nothin' on TV. I was looking at their selection of fish available and came across this clownfish and I nearly choked on my popcorn when I saw the price! It's a beautiful fish, but OMG! Nearly $9,000 dollars?? WOW! Wahtcha think? http://www.ebay.com/itm/PeaceKeeper-Maroon-003-LIVE-clownfish-RARE-WYSIWYG-nemo-coral-saltwater-aquarium/121843039396?_trksid=p2050601.c100085.m2372&_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140211132617%26meid%3Dff526d5e1b624a3db95da1e252925c01%26pid%3D100085%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D4%26sd%3D121843039396%26clkid%3D3235195119056897615&_qi=RTM2247625 Quote Link to comment
TheKleinReef
I'm no clownfish fan... So i think that decimal point should move to the left at least 2 places. 1 Quote Link to comment
Pinner Reef
He has a lil mask of course he's worth $9k 1 Quote Link to comment
Newstead
Honestly, I prefer regular old clowns! This one looks like it has vitiligo. 8 Quote Link to comment
righttirefire
You're buying the name. It's not worth $9 to me. I think.this was posted recently at $12,000 Quote Link to comment
Benny314
I fear I have no love for these 'designer' clowns, and this one is one of the ugliest I've seen lol. What happens when the bugger jumps and you find $9k dried up on your carpet................. 7 Quote Link to comment
Tmr8188
I'd rather pay 5k less and get a koi tang. 1 Quote Link to comment
Hammerstone
I think it's maybe under $100 beautiful, but beautiful none the less. It reminds me of a Betta for some reason. Just like someone said, what if it jumps out, or gets a disease. I can't see spending thousands on a fish. That is unless you are rich and have money to throw away. I do think it's beautiful. That red really pops. Quote Link to comment
D3monic
Yea I don't get the price tags on these clownfish. I like pederson. he's a great guy but the price tags on those lightning maroons is outrageous. Though i'm not really a clown fan to begin with. 1 Quote Link to comment
supernip
it's a maroon, it'll #### up everything in your tank including your hand. do people just really just get so excited over degenerate fish that they forget what assholes they're actually purchasing? 2 Quote Link to comment
Droy008
Yes, but how many times can you say $9,000 just bit you when you were feeding it. Quote Link to comment
ndrobey
If I had a place to breed them, I'd say grab it and go with it. But I would have a secure lid on the tank! Quote Link to comment
LeCharlesMuhDickens
The whole designer clown thing is getting as ridiculous as the designer dog trend. It's not a multipoo or a labradoodle, it's a mutt. 5 Quote Link to comment

Snow_Phoenix
The only designer clown I've ever liked was the good ol' Picasso. Although there was that pair of Black Ice Snowflakes once at my LFS, but the price put me off. 1 Quote Link to comment
Jwilken02
I love my Black Ice snowflakes, but I also got them from a local reefer where I buy all my coral for the cheap. If it wasn't for paying basically the same as a pair of true ocellaris I would not own a designer fish. Quote Link to comment
HarryPotter
I love true Perculas... $20 each and beautiful. Hosting a RBTA makes them even more entrancing 3 Quote Link to comment

What does this fish have to do with the price of lightnings or Matt? This fish is uglier than sin imo-not really a fan of most designer clowns either. 1 Quote Link to comment
ml86743
Cool fish! But I can think of 9000 better things to spend 9000$ on. 1 Quote Link to comment
SunWyrm
Aren't lightnings like $300 now? That's not that crazy.. Quote Link to comment
gulfsurfer101
That's one ugly m*therf*cker! 1 Quote Link to comment

Some lightning maroons go for 10k + Quote Link to comment
Newstead
$10,000 clown = MMTS More Money Than Sense ... a common affliction among the nouveau riche (and young professional athletes lately). 1 Quote Link to comment
metrokat
I don't care for designer morphs. Also, The pectoral fins seem stubby and far too small for such a big fish. IDK. 1 Quote Link to comment
