I got the maxspext razor 120 watt i used the legs. Its on my fluval m60. I have sunny d palys they were doing awesome has about 6 heads and now i only got 1 and theres brown stuff on the tissue of the corals. I have rasta zoas that has 4 heads but they dont even open. Sometimes they do but not all the way. Link to comment
Droy008
Might want to consider getting a coral dip for them. You might have some form of sickness going on in there. Sorry to hear about the bad luck. Link to comment
mo'smyname
Bayer Advanced Complete insect killer works well as an all around pest killer. I've found melafix to be just as effective as the Bayer, just not as cheap. Iodine works Ok, but I've noticed it can be rough on some corals, but it works double duty as a disinfectant. Hydrogen peroxide kills pests as well but it is pretty harsh, upside is that it will take care of algae. I've never had much luck with freshwater dips on corals, and I've never tried any commercially available coral dips. I've used the widely accepted Furan 2 treatment for zoa pox and it worked great. I had an episode where my zoas started to slowly decline as well, but it turns out I didn't have enough nutrients in the water, but since you mentioned you already feed plankton and phyto that might not be the case. Personally, I'd try to step up the frequency of water changes and see if that helps. IMO many issues (other than pests) can be fixed by doing a few large water changes over the course of a few days/weeks. Link to comment
Hammerstone
How long have you had them? When did they start declining? Did you do anything different? Link to comment

Idk if that is big enough but i do it weekly so it shouldnt be a problem would it? How long have you had them? When did they start declining? Did you do anything different? I have had them ever since i got the tank up and running after the cycle. The only things ive done was dose some calcium thats about it. I added other corals which could have brought pests. My light setting have only been up to 65% max. Link to comment

Infinitereef
Well i have some rastas and la lakers and some fire and ice that are going down hill but they are just starting to go down hill. If i do use the bayer advanced insect killer whats the ratio i would have to do? Link to comment
Tamberav
I would inspect for pests and get out a flash light (pref red) at night and see if you can catch anything in the act. Just in case something is munching on them. Link to comment

Nanofreak79
Try and frag off that big closed polyp. Sometimes fragging off from the rest can help. Try and frag as many large healthiest polyps and chuck the others, IMO and E I would inspect for pests and get out a flash light (pref red) at night and see if you can catch anything in the act. Just in case something is munching on them. This is good too, although there paly's so you'd probably be looking for amphipods, yes they've been known and I've experienced there munchies! FlowLikeWater
are those acans to the left or other corals putting out sweeper tentacles, possibly at night? zoa eating nudis are hard to spot since their food makes them represent that color. if you could, i personally would put it in a tupperware with a little tank water and look at it with a magnifying glass for any pests/eggs. braaap
10ml Bayer per 1 cup of water. Actually should be 12ml. The widely recommended amount is 1.5ml per ounce. Link to comment
mo'smyname
Actually should be 12ml. The widely recommended amount is 1.5ml per ounce. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I'll admit that I don't really measure anymore since it was deemed as a legit dip alternative. I just look for a certain level of milky and drop frags in. I've probably used anywhere from 5 to 20+ ml/cup for 10-15 minutes with no apparent harm to coral. Link to comment

Sunstar
I use furan-2 when my zoas start to go down hill. one or two dips and they seem to be okay. Even when pox is not involved. I have some issue with some zoas, but htat was due to irritation from some other coral. I need ti dip the purple hornets tonight. Link to comment
Infinitereef
Ok. I got some bayer advanced complete. Im going to try this and see if things get better. Thank you everyone for their opinions. Im hoping this works. If it doesnt work then i might be sol. Otherwise fragging might be the next best bet. Link to comment

mo'smyname
To my knowledge, there haven't been any reported cases of the bayer killing coral. If this is the case, I'm pretty sure they were on their way out regardless. Sorry for your loss. Link to comment
aviator300
I checked over this thread and I noticed something that frankly I;m surprised no one else has mentioned this but you posted that the Ammonia levels are 0 to .50 Zero is fine but anything over that is not. I doubt the zoas would be affected by a small temporary spike but if the tanks at .50 for a while it could be your culprit. Just something to ponder. Link to comment
Infinitereef
Sounds good. I mean all my other corals are doing fantastic. Both my frogspawns. My armor of gods palys. My pagoda and my candy canes are doing great. Its just my zoas and my sunny d palys and one yuma. Orange bam bams have 2 heads when there were about 10. Sunny ds just faded away. My rastas are there but will rarely open up. My la lakers seem to be slowy decreasing after the dip. Fire and ice zoas i bought as a colony and now it doesnt even look like a colony. Idk what to do. $$$$&& is going down drain. Link to comment
