Pagoda coral help needed

So I picked up a pagoda coral frag a few weeks back and it's giving me fits. It's not the cup type, but the other that has a bunch of polyp sort of things. It was well extended when I bought it but I can't seem to find a place in the tank it likes. Water parameters are good and all other corals are doing great, this one though seems like any amount of light bothers it. Lighting isn't overkill by any means, it's just Biocube power compacts and two led strips.

Seems like it's extended pretty good when I first kick on the lights and then it slowly draws up as it gets longer exposure to the lights. As of now it's in a semi shady spot about 1/3 way up the tank. Any ideas?

I've never kept that coral, but I know a little about it. It's a Turbinaria or a Scroll coral or a Vase coral.

Apparently they need medium light and good flow. You probably need to move it as low as possible if your lights are "overkill".

Sadly, this coral is supposed to be pretty difficult to keep compared to the easy Pagoda Cup Coral. As it grows it tends to fold in on itself and can make thin scrolling growth like a vase or other elaborate shapes that demand much more flow.

I think people tend to lose this coral as it grows larger due to a change in it's flow demands. So, if it encrusts somewhere with below-average to average flow and then grows into one of those shapes, you'll be stuck adding another power head or something like that.

Ive got it stuck in a little nook that's shaded by an overhang, seems to have helped a bit. It was a freebie so I won't be too mad if it croaks, but of course I'd like to see it stay healthy. I use phytoplex already, should that be enough to keep it happy food wise?
