How about some closer pictures of the rhizome and rhizoids?

I would also have said C. Prolifera in a higher flow environment to where it's gotten a little curly based on the photo.

i also have c. prolifera, this is very different. the blades are only an inch and a half tall max, and it turns white-ish under hight light.

Hmm googling I came across my old 75gal macro tank and apparently I had the same stuff that was only identified as a short leaf prolifera but that's not very valuable info. Maybe Russ at gulf coast would know. I'm thinking maybe caulerpa brachypus parvifolia there's a few german images that look strikingly similar

In größeren Becken kann man einen Pfaffenhutseeigel versuchen, in ganz kleinen Miniriffen sollte man die Alge vorsichtig entfernen, ohne sie weiter zu verteilen.

Looks like cool stuff, but damn, if it's grip is even stronger than c. prolifera...
