kellybs5512
I was wondering what would be a good amount of CUC for my JBJ 12 gallon tank. Currently only have an Ocellaris in there with plans of getting mostly softies. This is what I thought would be good for that size. (1) Nassarius Snail(1) Trochus Snail (1) Dwarf Hermit Crab(1) Cleaner or Peppermint ShrimpDo I need to increase the number on any of these? Or would yall suggest any other options? Link to comment
CoolGuy77
I would say that would be a good start and then you can always add more later if you notice you need them. I think it's better to start with less than I think I'll need rather then have too many and have them die or need to relocate them. Link to comment
jestep
I'd probably hold off on the shrimp and the nassarius initially. I wouldn't add a nassarius unless you are feeding fish in the tank. They're not herbivores so they'll need some food source. A nerite or two along with the trochus wouldn't hurt either. Link to comment

I currently have a clownfish that I am feeding Brine Shrimp and Mysis Shrimp. Would that be enough food source for the shrimp and nassarius snail? Link to comment
GMay
That should be fine then. Just watch to see that the snails and shrimp are coming out when you feed, as that would be a good indication they are getting food. You may also want to consider feeding the tank once a week or so after lights out so that the scavengers have a better chance at the food. Link to comment
natalia_la_loca
If you get a peppermint, I suggest you target feed it as it may not get enough food from scavenging alone. Mine was a voracious eater. Link to comment
