Tide Fan setting and Location

Hi,

Got my Tide today. Seems pretty cool, but I have a few questions about the bluefish settings. In one of the threads where Dave mentioned his preferred look for morning/midday/evening and kelvin ratios, he also put in a one liner under the midday section about how the Tide fan should never be below 80%. Is that for midday use only or in general? The fan is pretty quiet but does make some noise; was wondering if the fan still needs to be at 80% if the levels are low (like 20% blue/20% white). Worried about fan life and also life of the light fixture.

Also, not quite clear how the location setting works. I'll be in the setting where I can play with the colors and give the tank an actinic look, and then hit location (which defaults to fiji) and there is no change. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance!

No need to worry about being 80% when the light is only 20% across the board. The unit is one heatsink, working its magic.

The location setting will mimic the time schedule and weather pattern. You set the times you want. Drop me an email if you need help!
