Hammerstone
Their alive!!! Three, well one with two buds are fully open and suddenly lots of others are following suite. They are peeking out and showing the tips of their polyp tentacles. A lot are becoming sticky. So I feed the sticky ones. I tease all my Suns to wake them up well before I feed them. It's only taken two months, and it was because of you all cheering me on to not give up on them. So every night I would squirt mysis juice on them and then feed my yellow Suns. If it wasn't for you guys showing me a picture of what a dead one looked like I would have given up. They went through a lot. There are tons of buds that came out from nowhere. That's interesting too. Thank you ?? Link to comment

Tamberav
Glad they are okay. The ones from DD I think are from the ocean so I bet they take a bit to get used to live in a box. BTW, salt critters made a nice informative thread on winter shipping: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/369942-fun-fact-about-winter-livestock-shipping/ Link to comment
charliethezero
That's awesome. So glad they made it and are eating for you. Link to comment
Hammerstone
Thank you guys!!? I'll get some photos when they have opened up more so in the picture the polyps show up. Right now since they are black and barely showing you wouldn't be able to tell they are starting to open. ? Link to comment
Urchinhead
Glad to hear they are doing well. When they are a bit more recovered get some Coral Frenzy pellets. Soak them in water first or they will float and the fish will nab them. Use a pipette to target feed each head. Feed a few pellets to each head every other day. Then get ready to hate them because you will have such a huge colony that it's going to be a major pain keeping it fed. Link to comment

Hammerstone
It is a lot of work lol. My orange Suns have about 40 heads and I think the black have more than that. I feed them mysis every night. Polyp by polyp. They will even ask me for seconds and thirds. Each one I spot feed. I know they are still hungry when they swallow a mysis and then they swallow it and open up sticky. So they get more than one mysis often. It's a labor of love. Takes me 30 to 40 minutes. Drives my husband crazy because I take so long at bed time. I use about two frozen cubes every night. ? Link to comment
