shingo43
Hi I am starting a new IM 10 as for my zoa/lps, has anyone successfully maintained a fishless nano tank for over a year? I wonder without fish poop if corals can still grow, I will still have inverts like snails and hermits tho. Thanks Link to comment
Elizabeth94
You don't need fish imo. But you still need to feed the corals. This will keep the rock cycled and tank happy. Link to comment
Sunstar
fish is not a requirement, feeding is...I keep inverts in mine. I want some fish, just waiting for the right fish to arrive. Link to comment
makingfilms
I am by no means an expert at reefs, But currently I have been running my 5 gallon tank with just corals and inverts for a few weeks after my fish were wiped out by my nephew. I plan to fallow the tank for another 6 weeks with water changes every other day. my tank seems noticeably cleaner than it did with my two fish. I do now feed reef energy a+B every other day to keep my corals happy without fish poop. They are definitely growing better than before but probably because of tank size if I dose even a smidgen more I notice I will get a lot of algae quickly. Just my 2 cents. Link to comment
