panda_jerk
Hey all, I've scoured nano-reef forums for a long time and this is the first time I've posted. Any way I just down graded from a 40 breeder to a 20long. Kept the same equipment with a modest livestock list right now. My question is in regards to my Eshopps PSK-75H. On my 40 I don't remember it taking very long to break in. On the 20 it has been over flowing consistently for over a day now. I have the return wide open and the drain tube directed back into the aquarium. The black sponge on the return is clean and free of algae and I'm at a loss of what else could be the issue. Eisernes
Did you use any putty to secure rocks or frags? Link to comment
panda_jerk
No, I didn't think that would be an issue. I only have two small ZOA colonies and four pieces of LR. They were stable so I moved on. Link to comment
StevieT
Skimmers take longer than a day to break in. Link to comment
panda_jerk
I suppose I was curious because it was already working well on my other tank and didn't think that just no I g it would require another break in period. I'll let it go for a while and see what happens. Thanks for the replies. Link to comment
