Idaho ken
Greetings all, Does anyone have any experience with these LED's? They make kits for Nano Cubes with hoods: http://current-usa.com/aquarium-led-lights/truelumen-pro-led-strips/truelumen-pro-dual-nano-led-striplight-kit/ Thanks all! Ken Link to comment
jamescstein
running 4 of them in my BC29 right now. They are decent for the price. I'd rather have a nanobox retrofit though. Link to comment
jamescstein
Also if you decide to get the kit, check prices. I didn't use the dimmers the stands in my retro and wound up buying a Dual Ramp timer. Would have been cheaper at the time to just get the 4 strips the y's and the timer than the kit + timer + 2 strips that I would up buying. Link to comment
supertech99
Im running 3 strips on my 15 column tank. I have the same thing to say as James. For the price paid, I'm satsified. They are not that powerful when compared to other LED retrofit options but they are also 1/2 to 1/3 the price. I got most of mine from amazon. My lfs has the same strips for 50 ea that amazon sells for 22. They are 9.1w per 12in strip with many points of light which does spread the light well. Select your colors carefully if you can only use 2 strips. I think the dimmers in the kit are kinda useless since they are not pushing the intinsity limits or anything, I only use them to shut off the whites when I want to see things pop since they are all 3 on the same power supply.
