isaacharry
Hello I have a lighting question my tank is a 20x20x20 cube SPS dominated reef Should i keep my hydra 26HD (everything is at 120% but the red green is at 30 and white at 80) or do it get a ATI 6X 24W Fixture? Link to comment
HarryPotter
The 6x24w will be too big for your tank probably, no? Link to comment

isaacharry
lets turn this into a vote!! who votes ATI SUN POWER 24W (6 bulbs) and who votes stick with my Hydra HD? Link to comment
Tamberav
I vote t5. Even better would be a ATI/nanobox hybrid. Link to comment
isaacharry
the the exchange rate of canadian to US, nano box is crazy expensive Link to comment
FlamingPrawn
T5's give you just as much control anymore and i've noticed coral's under LED change colors. sometimes for the better...sometimes not. But if you go t5 you have to make sure you're willing to replace the lights every 6-8 months. Link to comment
Sunar357
Last two tanks were LED and newest is T5. The only way i'd probably go back to LED is if I had a tank too small for T5. Link to comment
isaacharry
I'm looking between ATI sun power and jus retro fitting my hood, is there a difference? i don't see why ATI is so expensive lol Link to comment
isaacharry
anyone?? But if you go t5 you have to make sure you're willing to replace the lights every 6-8 months. Yeah people say the price adds up but lets say a 6 bulb fixure, 100$ to change the bulbs, most of us SPS reefers spend that on two or three frags Link to comment
CronicReefer
I personally think T5 are better suited for growing SPS mainly because of the shadowing that LED lighting causes. I think the shadowing can be resolved by using more LEDs at lower watts or just using a hybrid setup. Maybe consider adding two T5s onto the hydra and turning down the LEDs some to compensate.
