I have noticed some vermetid snails on my live rock(they were there when i bought them) and they are seemingly dead. They have been here for over a month and i have nit seen any new ones nor any webs coming from them. Is it safe to assume they are dead? I dont really mind how they look but if they are alive and will eventually shoot webs i'll remove them.

Worst hitch hiker ever! I'd take aptasia over them. You can only pray that it's dead!

Such a horrible thing to say, but I agree with you. At least you can pay $100 for berghia nudibranchs and get rid of 100% aiptasia (worked for me) I used to have hundreds of them, now I have hundreds of micro stick webbers.

Hydroids are easy to kill imo! Vermetid snails seem to hide places where you just can't get to. When I tore down my 75g I made sure that every rock that went into 20l had gobs of glue over each one. Soon they were popping out the sides. Finally frustrated from dealing with them I tore the rock out and chiseled them smelly fuggars off!

Are they little tubes that send out fans and appearing to make a little slime line in the water?

Yes and they piss off everything, especially me! In my 75g they were put of control but in my 20l they were sol!
