Kessil A150 ocean blue/2 coral plus t5

Aquamaxx WS1

Canister filter w/ Liverock and activated carbon

I've always loved DIY and can't leave well enough alone so I am building a 20g with a false wall. The wall will hide my skimmer, heater, and intake for a canister filter to run chemical filtration.

I did not want to deal with everything that went with a sump, and wanted to TRY to not spend as much with this setup. I will be building a house in the next two years and will have a much larger reef, so this is pretty much a lower budget hold me over kind of thing lol. I've gotten all my equipment used, or I've had it laying around except the canister filter.

Cool bro. Looks like a great start so far. The skimmer will be perfect for this. Subscribed.

What canister are you going with and what medias are you planning on running in it?

IMO its easier to drill a hole and plug in a pump than a false wall with baffles, but interested in watching where you take this.

Sunsun 75g, carbon, purigen, and some extra rock

Idk I just really didn't want to bother with it on this small of a tank. I wouldn't run a sump without a controller and I have no plans of a controller for this one. Just wanted to keep it simple and low risk of any water damage.

I will be switching from a 20H to a 20L, going back to my roots. My very first reef was a 20L, pretty excited to go back and see what I have learned since then

Had some free time to work on the scape today

I've dubbed this tank "the pitons" which are two mountains in St Lucia where I was lucky enough to enjoy my honeymoon. Beautiful place!
