Fluval Spec V Reef Newb

Hello, so I'm new to the forum, new to saltwater, and I have a new tank. I've been keeping freshwater tanks for years. So I set my tank up as follows:

2" base of "Caribsea" live sand

10 pounds of cured live rock

Filled with Imagitariam ocean water

50 watt heater set at 78 degrees

I have on order:

Hydor 160 Pico Evolution power head.

Current USA orbit marine LED light 18-24"

My plans with this tank are a Blenny and a Clownfish (undecided on species). Possibly some coral. While placing my live rock I noticed a coral was attached to a piece of it. I don't know the type but it's about the size of a quarter (I fear he will not survive). Right now I'm waiting for my tank to cycle. I used fish flakes to start my "Nitrogen cycle". I've been testing water everyday. I'm getting 0 amonia, 0 Nitrites and 0 Nitrates at 3 days New. Salinity is 1.023 Taking this slow witch is hard for me to do. Tank is nice and clear at this point. Anyways I'm glad to be here. Sorry for the horrible pictures.

I'm using Imagitarium Ocean Water as well because its easier for me to bring it into work which is where my tank is. So far so good...everything seems happy with it. Thinking about adding some Kent Essential Elements as well.

I didn't know much about the water I used. But I read great things about it so I pulled the trigger. It works great for me because I need so little of it at a time.

So I believe I have finally seen my amonia start to spike. I set my tank up on Sunday the 27th of December. I have been using "fish food" to get my cycle started. Any ideas what I should see the amonia "spike" at (max level).
