Andreww
Hey guys this RBTA is about 8" across, been in my tank for a few days now, and it's been doing great. Didn't move at all, and it has planted its foot in a big hole in the rock. Sometimes it closes up for a few minutes then opens back up, sometimes has a swollen but closed mouth...however, it's mouth is not in the middle but rather more on the side...does that mean it has split before and it's regaining shape? Color is great, last night I switched the vortech from reef crest to lagoon mode since I have mostly LPS and the anemone, so today the nem stretched out even more in the current... But what I'm more concerned about is the light. Where do people keep their kessils at with anemones? My 160WE is sitting 15" from the nem at 25% intensity slowly ramping up (5% week) to acclimate it. Considering I don't have a PAR meter, how high should I go to keep it happy? 50-60% intensity? Thx Link to comment
TheKleinReef
I'd say it's doing just fine. If you notice it climbing up the rock work and really reaching for light, then bump the lighting up a bit. But based on the pictures it looks happy and healthy! Link to comment
Andreww
Thanks for the response. I guess I was concerned 25% or so intensity is really low for these guys to keep them healthy...same for the other corals as well , most which are on the sand bed and kinda struggling at the moment...maybe because I changed the flow too...especially the open brain coral Link to comment
TheKleinReef
Just keep an eye on things. Once things start to get a little better you can slowly ramp it up if you notice corals stretching for more light. Link to comment
