fishfreak0114
I got a pagoda cup in August and it looked fabulous for a month and a half or so, then it started to slowly lose tissue, just a very small amount aroun the base at first and slowly, now in patches all over, bare skeleton and brown growing on it. I believe bacteria is causing this. A small portion of the colony has not been affected just yet, but it is spreading faster all the time and I know I can't save the colony so I was thinking of trying to frag off the healthy part tonight, and hope for the best. After I frag it, should I chuck the rest of the colony that is a goner so that the necrosis can't spread to the frag? Thanks in advance and if anyone has tips about how to go about this it would be greatly appreciated Link to comment
fishfreak0114
Just realized that the only tool I have is a power drill, that should be interesting Link to comment
fishfreak0114
Well I got a small frag, maybe like 2 inches by 1 inch. I made sure that there was a 1 inch or so gap of healthy flesh around the frag. It's on my sand bed now. I chucked the rest of the colony, figured I would let it die quick instead of slowly like it has been Link to comment
