Dreichler Posted December 1, 2015 Share Posted December 1, 2015 i would go with the UV sterilizer, but thats just me cause i don't mind buying 5g of RO weekly and just manually topping off, and I've never had an issue without a reactor, always looked into them, but why change what works ya know.... but how do you like the hydra 26 HD, i have a JBJ 45 with a single AI Prime cause my 28 got a leak, and haven't upgraded the lighting, so whats your thoughts on it? PAR seems solid in the corners and bottom of the tank? Love to see pics.... Link to comment
isaacharry Posted December 1, 2015 Author Share Posted December 1, 2015 Hey there, After some thought i am still debating between the sterilizer and a tunZE ATO, the reason being is that i lose half a gallon of water a day... buy i want the UV Just because it makes my water clear. Now as for the 26HD, i love it, i also had the prime but the spread on the HD is absolutely insane. Andreww Posted December 2, 2015 Share Posted December 2, 2015 Not familiar with the gyre but I'd put 2 mp-10's on that 34g tank... Not because it can't move water, just one would be able to blow the sand out of the water, but for more even flow, I think you're better off buying two and keeping them running at half the speed. MUCH more powerful, you can push or pull water, super slim and small footprint, and moves water in a much wider area, not a "jet stream" like the mp10, its more of a long wave... Link to comment
