uwharrie
A before and after of the unknown brain frag. everything else looks great but I notice this one has bleached ( or died) too all but the center. It was 1/2 way up the tank ( 29 Biocube with Steve's LED running 30-50%). I did not really notice until today how bleached it is. I moved it back to the substrate. Can it be saved? when it first went in... 3-4 weeks later.... Link to comment
Mariaface
I'm not an expert at all. But that being said, I'd check alkalinity (make sure there are no swings and it's not too high compared to nutrient level), and get the coral into a lower light spot with adequate flow so it can focus on getting its flesh back over its skeleton. Does it still react to water being pushed at it? Or food in the water? Link to comment
uwharrie
I have never seen this one feed at all. I feed Phytofeast every day, there are tons of copepods right now. This guy seems so tiny I did not think spot feeding would be feasible Link to comment

Elizabeth94
Tried to spot feed, did not see any tentacles. I hope I did not wait too late! This looks very similar to the eye of a favia coral. Medium flow and medium to low light is what I read on these guys. I hear that people even have success growing them in the shade/indirect light. I am far from any expert on these particular corals, but the one I just picked up has a slow feeding response and I keep the pumps off for a fairly long time until it eats. The PE Mysis I just picked up is a bit too big for its mouths, but I shook up the container to break them apart better. It seemed to like the juices more. Link to comment
