Shrimp molting on day 1

I bought a fire shrimp and a cleaner shrimp yesterday, got up this morning and noticed the fire shrimp molted over night..

 

Is that common? stress? a good or bad thing being just introduced into the tank?

I'd say it's good news if it survived the molt. From what I've read a lot of people lost their shrimps when they molt.

Stress made it molt. it'll be in hiding for a few days. The next molts will be more of a regular occurrence, with him hiding while his exoskeleton hardens.

All 3 of my shrimp molted on the first night. I didn't see my blue coral banded for a month after that and assumed it was dead, but it was just being shy. I'd say it's perfectly normal, and they also always look cleaner and more colorful after a molt, which is an added bonus.
