Need opinions on the health of this Carpet Anemone...

Just bought a carpet anemone at the LFS in a pre-thanksgiving sale.

As far as I could tell everything looked great in the store...maybe I was blinded by the awesome color. Shop keeper said he hasn't seen one this healthy in awhile. It was also really sticky and literally latched on to the rock immediately after I stuck it in the display tank. After being enchanted I forgot to look at the mouth, which is supposedly important. Not that I would know what to look for lol.
Also, I actually didn't realize there was a big difference between the Haddoni and the Gigantae anemone. After reading it looks like I have the Gigantae species, which is much harder to keep.
Everything looks good, but I am concerned it has a gaping mouth. Can someone provide input for me?
Also, I read that two different species in one tank will engage in chemical warfare...I have a BTA on the other side of a 5 foot tank...will this be an issue?
Here is a picture.

I'm no expert. I've killed more nems than I've kept alive, though now I seem to be doing okay with the ones I have. My experience has been that the nems look good right up until the moment that they don't. It isn't gradual. Each day you look at them and they're fine, fine, fine, all their guts are outside their body and they're goners. If the mouth keeps getting more and more open - goner. If the mouth is staying as is - feed him. If the mouth has closed up - well, I'd still feed him but I like to feed them lol but he's fine.
