Hey guys, I just finished trimming my macro tank for the first time so I'm just wondering if anybody's looking for some clippings :)

Here's all the stuff I took out. For reference, cloth is 12in.x12in. or 30cmx30cm:

I've got enough to make two packs that include

-A clump of gracilaria curtissae

-A branch of gracilaria hayi

-Clipping of caulerpa prolifera

-A branch of caulerpa paspaloides

-Sprig of red fern (Haliptilon sp.)

-A branch of codium

-A branch of caulerpa serrulata

-A clump of blue ochtodes

-A clipping of dragonsbreath

Pics of individual species, let me know if I got the names right :)

Ochtodes

Forgot to get a pic of dragonsbreath but a quick google search should give you a good idea :)

Anyways, here's a representative photo of what a pack would look like minus the dragonsbreath:

$25 per pack, 2 packs available

$40 for everything (WYISWYG in the first pic of the post, excluding the random scraps and halimeda in the bottom left corner but including ochtodes)

I'd like to sell local since I've never shipped before. If you'd like to chance shipping, it'd be an extra $10 for 2-3 day shipping I believe. I'll look into it further if I can't sell locally. PM me for more details or to let me know if something's wrong; this is my first time selling off a forum so bear with me if I've forgotten anything

Thanks,

-Anthony

potentially interested in a mini-pack for my fuge, at some point. :) you have an impressive variety!

Thank you! I'm assembling a minipack for stellablue once I get home next weekend, if I have enough left to make one for you, I'll be sure to let you know. You can also PM me the species you're interested in so I can try to partition it so everyone gets what they want :)

Man, my haliptilon disappeared from the rock I attached it to. Was probably my favorite of the bunch I got!

I'll have to get more of that one later :)

Check your overflow, JMB! I had the same thing happen to me and boom. Found the missing macro in the overflow!

there is so much flow through the overflow that nothing can stay in there :) (has around 500x turnover through it)

I will check how much I've got left when I get home tomorrow and let you know! If you're down for smaller portions we can also probably work it out irregardless of how much I have though :)

Oh no! Sorry to hear that :( Do you have any herbivorous fish? Or along with what Stella said, could it be in your sump? Unless it was eaten I doubt it would disappear.. I don't think they're prone to melting. Once I grow some more macros out though I can always send you some with another pack

woah!

The overflow is tiny, less than a gallon in size, and has like 400GPH going through it lol

No, no herbivores. There really isn't anywhere in the sump for it to go to, but I will maybe check tonight if my wife doesn't work (if she does, I will have a three month old all night lol). If not, I'll just have to get more :D

Hmm..anything in your CUC got a taste for macros? But yeah, I wouldn't give up just yet! It might still be in there behind a rock or something :) And aww if only your kid were older, they could help you look!

i've got a couple of Turbo catanea, Cerithium altratum, Astrea tecta, and some Bittiolum varium (tentatively, anyway, I believe that is their species, dwarf cerith snails ;) ), so nothing that would mow down a semi-complex algae. There is also a TON of flow in the tank itself, so it's very unlikely to be hiding anywhere lol

Welp, looks like you've got all the bases covered  Bummed that it's missing though, haliptilon is one my favorites too :(

  • 3 months later...

Hey guys, just finished trimming up the macros, so I've got 5 palm sized chunks of G. curtissae to go around! I'd still like to try to sell locally to avoid shipping complications but this species is fairly hardy, grows fast (great for fuges) and has successfully been shipped in an insulated padded envelope so that's probably how I'll ship it now, though I can't guarantee anything. But yeah, help me get rid of this stuff :)

$20 each/$25-30 shipped depending on location, i can include small clippings of ochtodes/red fern/dragons breath if requested.

Thanks for looking!

I need more of all the other macros, even straight peroxide couldn't slow down the g. curtissae :)

Haha yeah! Toughest macro I have ;)

Growth on the other macros have been pretty slow though, that's why I can only offer clippings to go with orders of curtissae haha
