Are Rotifers Bad?

My LFS gave me some live rotifers to feed corals once and I used them from time to time. I once put way too much in. This was about a month ago. I looked at my aquarium and saw these white specks on my glass and a lot of them. They are definitely alive and probably the rotifers bred in my tank. Will the rotifers be harmful to my tank?

Those white specks are copepods, which eat rotifers. You definitely boosted the copepods with those extra rotifers. The copepods are good, and your fish will thank you for the treat :)

*Edit: the only way the rotifers could be harmful would be if you dumped a ton of water from a live rotifer culture into your tank with them - rotifer breeding tanks often contain an excess of free ammonia. After a month, that's definitely not the case though.
