isaacharry
Hi, would one kessil be enough for a 24x24x24 cube SPS reef? Link to comment
Wmich2008
Depends on your rock structure. Everything in the middle or wall to wall SPS? Link to comment
Sancho
a 360 would work just fine Link to comment
Dreichler
rock structure does come into play, since you can get the gooseneck for kessil, you can also angle it how you would like... if your rock structure is more centered rather then spread, you'd be perfect find with a 360W... the 160W won't be enough... you could always just get 2 160W and angle them correctly for perfect lighting. cgavin1110
I had a single a360we over a 24x24x24 and it is now over a 24x24x12. I'm not too happy with the light honestly and am considering getting a radion or going 8x24w T5. Link to comment
gus6464
No matter what anyone tells you those lights are not designed for that wide of an area. When you throw in SPS it is not happening. SPS need an even spread not just intensity. Save yourself the headache and just buy an 8x24 sunpower. Link to comment
drexel
You'll need two 360's for a sps tank. Using just one would give you quite a bit of shadowing. I had a single 160 over a 23x12x14 nano for almost a year, but once the growth took off, I was seeing a lot of shadowing, so I added a second 160 and eliminated all of the shadowing. You can always supplement the kessil's with T5 later? Or pick up the new ap700? Link to comment
Snewton10
I have a 22 x 22 x22 cube with one 160 we .reef is sps Dom. And everything does just fine rock structure is centered Link to comment
pewpewkittah
I have two 160W over my 20x20x20 cube. I would use two. or maybe a single 360 Link to comment
805reef
You can probably sustaine sps on the edges but they won't thrive. And expect lots of shadowing Link to comment
reefernanoman
Hi, would one kessil be enough for a 24x24x24 cube SPS reef? I would say 2 A160we's would probably get the job done. Link to comment
