OCNcheffy
Here's a new video I took yesterday! I'm tempted to redo the video due to the amount of shimmer, but I'm fairly happy with how it turned out. The tank was set up the beginning of January, as most of the livestock was moved from a Fluval Spec V. The equipment list is as follows: -2x AI Primes -IM Biopellet Reactor -Cad Lights PLS-50 elite Skimmer -Fluval Heater -Jebao RW-4 Wavemaker -Dual return nozzles with a 180gph return pump -Hydor ATO Currently running Carbon and filter floss for filtration. vi3tboi7i4
Beautiful nano! How do you like using the bio pellets? Is it tricky to get it dialed in? Link to comment
aquarium
Very nice! do you ever have trouble with the euphyllias stinging other corals? Link to comment
Elizabeth94
Very nice! do you ever have trouble with the euphyllias stinging other corals? Euphyllias dont sting each other. However, some torch corals have a stronger sting and may irritate frogspawn and hammers. I love this tank, don't change anything! It is nice to see the coloring with your primes. I might have to make my lighting a little more blue. Link to comment
aquarium
I mean on the right side of this tank, some zoas are getting pretty close. I am wondering because My frogspawn is starting to encroach on some other corals in my tank I really love the clam too Link to comment
OCNcheffy
Thanks for the comments guys! I had a problem with the Euphyllias stinginy my pink acan, that's under the frogspaw.. I've sinced moved it but other than that, keep the hammers/frogspawn together and the torches together. Link to comment
ReeferReefer
Beautiful nano! How do you like using the bio pellets? Is it tricky to get it dialed in? I am also interested in your biopellet reactor. Maybe you could review it? I'm also interested in the choice to run bio pellets instead of GFO. Do you have more of a nitrate problem than phosphate? OCNcheffy
Here's a quick review of the biopellet reactor from IM that some of you have been wanting!I started with maybe half the amount of pellets you see in the picture for a good month. During that month, I was vodka dosing .3ml every day to help "seed" the pellets with another form of carbon dosing. Once I saw my nitrates hit 0 with vodka dosing (this took a little more than a month with water changes) I stopped vodka dosing and went straight to using only biopellets. This is the amount of pellets I currently use, and my nitrates are nearly undetectable through a week before a water change. This is with dosing Red Sea's reef energy A and B, feeding heavily with mysis/brine, and pellets for the clowns. I tested my nitrates today, just before a water change, and it was 2ppm or less. Before biopellets, i was sitting around 10-20ppm for nitrates and only could get it down with water changes. So if I had to tell someone a good way of lowering nitrates, BRS biopellets would be my answer with this reactor. It has great tumble as well! Any other questions, please let me know! Link to comment

Seems like a great product that is working well. Pretty cool that this works for BioPellets too. Its designed as a all media reactor though? So you could toss GFO in it if you wanted too? Regardless its some pretty cool tech keeping you Nitrates so low. Link to comment
OCNcheffy
You can toss GFO but it seems to fall through the foam pads most of the time.. I did run GFO for a time, but my corals reacted kinda funny to it and made a mess in the rear sump area. Link to comment
