Mr. Schertz
I'm wanting to set up a small nano with only running a circulation pump. Preferably a small jebo with varying speeds. Can I get away with this and just live rock? No fish, maybe an invert or two and easy corals, some macros.is this a recipe for disaster or can it be done? Link to comment
HarryPotter
Sure it could be done, but without filtration you can't really feed well and have to do many water changes. Why not have a small hang-on-back filter such as an Aquaclear? Link to comment
Mr. Schertz
Just wanted to have a real clean look. Didn't want the equipment taking up room and disrupting the view. Don't really want to do an all in one tank or a sump. Link to comment

Mr. Schertz
I did look that up,looks pretty sharp. Where's the best place to buy that online? I've been out of the nano loop for a while. Last thing I had was a bio cube and I didntt really care for it. Just looking to set up something rimless with a clean look but on a tight budget. Thought about getting the jbj picotope 3 gallon. Link to comment

I usually order my reef related items from premium aquatics because they're a good company and closer to me than a few of the other sites. Less time in UPS hands getting beat up makes me feel better about it. Marine depot is another good company to order from and so is bulk reef supply. Link to comment
reefist
It will absolutely work. Strong flow, good lighting, live rock, and a heater are all you need. My 8.6g consists of a Tunze 6040, BML 20K XB, 50w Neotherm, and 10# of Tampa Bay 2.0 rock. I just ladle out a liter or two every couple of days. There's something to be said for simplicity.
