PieMan2k
http://www.petco.com/product/125679/Aqueon-Betta-Falls-Aquarium-Kit.aspx?CoreCat=LN_FishSupplies_FishTanksAquariums Was wondering what kind of lights would you recommend for this tiny thing? I was going to do an all zoa display tank/ coral QT for my main. Comes with everything but a heater and a light. Link to comment
Elizabeth94
Doesn't seem like these tanks have much flow at all, wonder what kind of pump it could handle. I feel like cleaning this would be a pain in the butt for saltwater though and may lead to more problems. It is a cool looking tank, if you do end up tackling this I would love to see how it works. I can't help with lighting, sorry. Link to comment
ReefJar
Interesting! I'd probably try to hang one long bulb over the whole thing. Perhaps one of the mini t5 light fixtures that are out there. Although I think trying to rig that up over it would take away from the beauty of this little system. I'd recommend a LED bulb like I'm using but it's a very direct light and the foot print might not cover the entire system. Have you thought about evaporation and salt creep with this unit at each of the waterfall points? That would be my area of concern since the water volume is so little. I do like the idea tho! PieMan2k
Each chamber has its own cover and it would be on my desk so I would wipe off the salt creep and put it back in the main chamber. I would imagine I could do a Rio pump or maybe a Pico pump in replacement of the old pump. Anyone know a website that sells led pucks. I saw them as a sponsor I just don't know the name of the site. nismo_sky32
It comes with the aqueon sp-38 pump which does 38gph. I know the sp-55 will fit as it is the same size. The pump that comes with the evolve, sp-98, might fit. Sicce, tunze and hydor make some small pumps that might work Link to comment

Best place I have ever gotten LEDS would either be LEDgroupbuy or Steves LEDS. LED group buy sells great cree bulbs in singles and three ups while Steves LEDS carries luxeon rebels (in singles and three ups as well). Both brands have great lights. Although if your not planning on doing anything crazy coral wise you could get away with brightwell leds which I believe LED group buy carries as well. On another note a good friend of mine did one of these tanks as salt. Made a diy led light for it which worked great. He made the first chamber macro algae and the other two mini reefs. Hope this works out for you! Link to comment
PieMan2k
Thanks for the help, now to find the website and get the parents approval. (They are already not happy about me getting my 29 biocube.) I eill only have about 40 50 bucks in this total so that's not bad. Before you take into account livestock. Link to comment
