This is a picture of the mother colony that my coral came off of.

Sorry for the cell phone pic. I'll give you that it might not be a lemnalia but if this is a devils hand, I have never seen one spread out like that.

Also decided I needed it to be smaller, so I cut it up over the weekend.

I found it interesting that the base near where its on the square plug is very calcified.

When I get the frag in next week I'll probably run it by my favorite lfs and talk to the owner. She is very knowledgeable and is a marine biologist as well. I'll see what her opinion is on it. I've searched as well and it doesn't look like anything I've been pulling up under the same name. Most of the lemnalia pics I've been pulling up almost resemble a kenya or colt coral. What you have is different and caught my eye. I'm not much of a softy guy but love the pe on that thing.

Are you shipping? :flower:

Yes.. my thread http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/367754-fs-lemnalia-sp-soft-coral-frags/

Looks like I have 2 frags left. It grows like a weed, you can see in my FTS on my thread below that it quadrupled in size in 5 months. Only food it gets is reef roids broadcast to the whole tank once a week if I remember.

James, is the skin mottled like chilly corals are?

Never seen a chili coral up close.

The area where the polyps are is bumpy almost like a cauliflower the rest of the skin is a little rough, almost like a leather coral but complete devoid of polyps.
