ps2cho Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 I have an external overflow box attached to the drilled holes on the tank. What's the best way to route the plumbing into the stand? My reasoning is to avoid dust getting into the stand... Would u guys just drill a hole the size of the pvc or go with a larger hole and cover it somehow? Link to comment
rfalk Posted October 30, 2015 Share Posted October 30, 2015 I would drill a larger hole and probably not even cover it. I would not worry about dust getting into the stand id be more worried about moisture and heat. Most people run open top tanks with no dust issues. Link to comment
ps2cho Posted October 31, 2015 Author Share Posted October 31, 2015 well not dust in the tank itself...just dust behind the tank in the stand that would be very difficult to access and clean...which turns into a long term fire hazard. Plus you can see it through the sump which is gross. Link to comment
