oysterk
Nanobox has arrived! Some kinks to work out, unfortunately. The clamps just aren't doing it on my rimmed tank, so I'll get back in touch with Dave to see if there is some way that I could send it back to switch em out for a hanging kit. 1 Quote Link to comment
oysterk
Merry Christmas everybody! Some big updates coming up here, some new frags: Jfox Burning Banana and Hallucination Paly! Big shoutout to the Manhattan Reef Frag Swap folks, great swap, great people. That little paly in the back is the hallucination, looks atrocious under the T5s I have on right now Here's the big one! A very much appreciated Christmas present: Vortech MP10W!!!! Running very nicely on the tank, although a little loud. It's not actually misaligned at all in real life haha, but the perspective of the pic makes it look like it. Any tips on how to quiet it down a little would be very helpful! 1 Quote Link to comment
RIP Sebastian
You can buy a QD driver. I hear that helps. Quote Link to comment
oysterk
Nanobox Quad finally set up and over the tank! I can't thank Dave Fason enough for all the help he gave me setting up this light, here's some pics for you guys. I'll share settings sometime soon. Front tank view, Hanging Mount Top Down, with some corals that color really pop now 3 Quote Link to comment
oysterk
Corals are looking pretty good, LPS is just as puffy as before. Should I bump up the power a little? (tank is 18.8" deep) Midday settings: Quote Link to comment
teenyreef
Checking in and catching up - the new light looks great! Just go slow on increasing power. Your corals will need time to adjust from T5's to LED, and then more time to adjust to even brighter LEDs. It's better to have the colors fade due to not enough light than to have everything STN because they got burned. Also, check out "Photo Mode" in the bluefish app, I set mine up so the whites/limes are at the same level as the blues just for pictures. To the eye it will look white, but the camera will still show a lot of blue, just not super blue. 3 Quote Link to comment
DaveFason
What Teeny said, go slow. Let things get adjusted before making it rain on the light. -Dave Quote Link to comment
oysterk
Thanks guys, I'll adjust the lighting slowly, I definitely don't want anything getting too stressed out. I'll try the Photo Mode as soon as I get home and take some pics, my iPhone takes really saturated blue pics with these new LEDs so I hope this will be a big help. 2 Quote Link to comment
