A alien in my tank

I have sat and watch the one in the video...when it's tenticles come out some will latch onto the vegetation, like it's skimming it for food.

Amphipod will get this one. But is it possible to get a picture of it's body?

Those look more like bugs.

This looks more like a worm that has anemone tentacles that comes out of its mouth.

LOL, I think he meant that the person on this forum that goes by the name Amphipod. He is very well versed in id'ing things like this.

Lol...oh **embarrassed ;)

Well my little alien doesn't seem to be killing the vegetation that surrounds it. So I'll let it be for now. I have one black one and one white one, each living in separate rocks. There's no vegetation on the rock that the white one lives in, but it's thriving...

No worries, I can see how that was probably confusing.

I searched around a bit more and I think this may be either a peanut worm or spaghetti worm. Its hard to tell from the video that you posted so see if you can google a video of each and compare to what you see. Let us know....

OK checked them out, my guess would be the peanut worm. In some of the pics they look similar. I've never seem either of mine out of their rocks....

Thank You :)

I know this one, the Sipuncula (peanut worm) Antillesoma antillarum, his tentacles told me, the animal is harmless, cool hitchhiker I'd say.

I will go check those out. I just took these pics before I read your reply. Couple more pics

Sweet, I'm glad he's harmless, because I love sitting and watching him. I think I have spaghetti worms as well. Now that I have everything I've seen identified, think it's time to start putting fish in :)

you might even be able to see a few other hitch hikers out if you take a peek when it's dark.

Very nice, I figured Amphipod would come along eventually and confirm that! What kind of fish are you thinking about adding?

We just added a Scarlet Cleaner shrimp. Next is a rose anemone and a small clownfish. I wouldn't mind adding a black cap basslet...but from what I've seen those are pretty expensive. This is our first saltwater tank...

This is my psuedocorynactis. She's so beautiful.

I was wondering if my asterina starfish's start getting overpopulated, if i can feed them to my psuedocorynactis

Can somebody tell me if the bigger mushroom polyp is happy or not? I'd be so crushed if he didn't make it. And I don't know how they act when happy or sad....thank you in advance

You certainly have an active little tank. I'm jealous.
