I run a GHL Mitras and its working out very nicely for me. I have absolutely no complaints. Colors are great, growth is good and most importantly the spread is about as even as I could find for my tank. The downside to the GHL is the price. I was able to score mine straight from Europe when Euro/Dollar was at the low so it was actually slightly less than a Radion or Nanobox (my other two favorite LEDs). Too late for that now.

I dont know the dimensions of your tank, but if if it big enough then an ATI T5 is almost a sure bet for SPS and that's what I would recommend. I would have stuck with my ATI if my current tank was long enough (its 18x18).

Yeah I have the 20" razor over my jbj 20l and I don't think it's covering like it should. Everything under the lights are coloring up nicely but to the outsides not as much. I have it hanging 12" above the water. My pink lemonade is my indicator as how much light in getting with 90 blue and 60 white and it is a very pretty green, not the yellow is supposed to be. It's about 18" under the light.

P.s. Harry do you live on nano reef? I see you reply to everything! :D just kidding thanks for replies guys!

20L, then a Nanobox Quad if you want to stick with LEDs or the ATI has my vote. Radion, AI or my GHL just doesnt have the coverage you need, unless you get two. My 2 cents.

6 bulb ATI T5 is a very good choice for a SPS dominant tank. If, as MasterBuilder said, the tank is long enough. I ran the 6 bulb 36" and both coloration and growth were crazy good with it.

I run lots of different lighting (and have ran many more in the past):

ATI Powermodule Hybrid

Frankenstein T5 + MarsAqua LED

ATI Powermodule t5 only x2

Kessil 150/160 spotlights

Radium 400w Halides

For a display tank, you cannot beat ATI IMO. And I am not just saying that 'cause im an ATI dealer :D

For an acropora coral farm, you cannot beat 400w Radiums IMO.

Edit: Just to add, the beautiful part of running an ATI fixture is that you can sleep safely at night knowing that any problems your having are not caused by your choice of lighting. Its really a hang it and forget it solution ;)

And on the other end of the spectrum (no pun intended), this coming from a guy that's been a member since 2004 with less than 1,000 posts, LOL!!

I've been very happy with my Nano-Box LED retro from Dave. I still have the ol' trusty BC29, (the original Oceanic one). For me, I kept fish that were bad about carpet surfing and I wanted to keep the stock hood. I used to run a MH/PC combo, but I had major heat issues and I also had to replace bulbs every year, an extra expense that LEDs don't have. I keep mostly SPS and the spread seems pretty good and I'm able to maintain acros on the sides and not just the middle.

This is just my 2 pennies FWIW......

I have had the same tiny red dragon acro frag since April which is finally starting to explode with growth under my Steve's leds biocube 14. It was the only sps I had that survived my magnesium spike followed by my massive Hollywood stunner sending sweepers that killed everything in its way. I keep mine under 30%.
