steverino
Well I just received my new to me (used) mini tide. I'm Running it on an Innovative Marine Nuvo 8. I've been running the stock lights and was curious where I should set my blue and white channels so I don't burn/bleach my corals. The light is positioned approximately 5 inches above the water. VW_TDI_02
For the color, simply do what looks best for you. Intensity wise, I would just start at about 15% and then slowly work your way up. That tank is about 15" deep right? You will probably not want to go past 50% and that's if you want to go with a bunch of SPS corals. Also, by "slowly" I mean raising the intensity to 50% should take you about 2-3 months. Link to comment
Muraki
I agree with VW_TDI_02. On my Spec V, The light is about 8" above, but I have been working the intensity up slowly over the past year+. My blues are nearly 100% now, and the whites are at 50% and still rising. I started at 15% whites and 30% blues. Link to comment
steverino
Thanks for the replies. I've have almost nothing but lps and zoas so I went ahead and dialed it back quite a bit. I didn't notice any zoas or anything looking like it was trying to escape the light but nothing was really stretching either. I'll keep a close eye on it and slowly ramp up over time. Link to comment

Just watch over the next few weeks. If things looks happy, leave it! Link to comment
