Can mushroom coral pipefish swim or only walk? rock flowers can and are capable of eating most fish, usually its recommended to not keep any stinging coral or invert with pipes. usually adults are found in pairs, but that being said it depends on species. what frozen are you feeding? usually its best to keep them on frozen if they are already on it. i cant find any info on size of the species, so its hard to tell, but you will run into water quality issues because pipes usally need to be fed often. pipefish in general are poor swimmers so its safe to assume its primary mode of transportation is walking, but may swim if needed Link to comment
Anden
Reef safe hitchikker snails??????? Link to comment
Anden
Ok i need to get rid off the flowers then cus the pipe fish are sitting on em right now so the flower only need to close to eat it. No stigning coral ? Fungia is a stinging coral but this pipefish live only in fungia in Nature right? Link to comment
tetraodon
Reef safe hitchikker snails??????? the big one? thats the general rule, if they are like clowns then they must secret a mucus that the fungia recognizes and not food. so its hard to say if its safe or not, clowns can still be consumed by anemonies just the same. there isnt much info on that specific species care, so its mostly just based on their near cousins. does anyone near you have them? Anden
Snails No one near me has the pipefish cus this is the 1.time import to Denmark and i got 9 of 20 and that is why i have em in 3.tanks. I was hoping some of you have them in the US. Link to comment
tetraodon
i would keep an eye on them, they dont look like anything i would think isnt safe, but pop over to the ID section and see what some others say Link to comment
Anden
I like em so plz be reef safe! Link to comment
tetraodon
it looks to be in the same family as whelks, which arent reef safe, do you have a sump? Link to comment
