I have been talking to Spencer about an odd issue I am having and wanted to see if any other users have encountered this.. In either the new app or older app when I go into Settings/Lighting/Morning (for example). then select preview nothing happens. I can't preview my settings and the light on the bluefish doesn't change either. It also doesn't work to preview the lighting. It does however work when going into preview photo mode. So completely stummped. I have tried on my Iphone 6plus running ios 9.02 and my ipad running ios 9.01. both didn't work. I reblinked and even created a new account to see if that would work. Nothing has worked. Thought I would see if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks. Link to comment

jedimasterben Posted October 6, 2015 Share Posted October 6, 2015 I don't remember Light Preview working for me on the new app, never really tried on the old app. What I do to figure out how I want it to look, go into manual mode in the new app and adjust your sliders till you find what you like, then go into settings and change the channels to that (or the same ratio at a lower percentage if you're still acclimating corals). Thanks jedimasterben... that is what I have been doing just wasn't sure if this was isolated to just this feature or if there was anything else that wasn't working either. When talking to Spencer he is able to get it working on his end so not sure what is different with my set up and why it doesn't work. In either app. Both old and new app. Link to comment

If you have the full version can you please try the preview function now? Sent you an email Spencer. I tried this last night and again this morning. Didn't work. Do I need to reboot the controller? Unplug it? Re blink it? Do the changes automatically get installed? I hit preview and same result nothing changed the lights didn't do anything and the light on the controler didn't change either. Let me know what other steps if any I can do to help trouble shoot. Link to comment

When an update is released, it gets pushed to the controllers, it installs, and then it reboots - so occasionally if you see the lights turn off for a split second then go back to where they were, that was probably the culprit. Thanks!!! I just heard from Spencer he sent out another update. I tried it again and it worked!!!! Going to do some more testing tonight when I get home but was able to test it from work and see it work via my IP Cam.. Nice work Spencer... Link to comment

I have had to open the old app, enter free/manual mode and than hit the normal button. Link to comment

Haven't tried them yet in the new app. Just went into manual last night to show my friend the lights functions and when I hit return to normal nothing happened. Logged out and in tried hitting return to normal again and still nothing. Opened old app, scenes, and than normal and it went back to normal. iOS 8.3. Link to comment
smeagol108 Posted October 29, 2015 Share Posted October 29, 2015 What about photo mode, etc?so I tried again when I got home and the first time it just reset me back to the location I'm simulating weather screen but didn't put lights back to normal. Every time I tried after that it did work like it's supposed to and went back to normal when I hit normal. Maybe just glitchy Internet. Lol. Link to comment
