Did you buy it like that?

What are the tank parameters and lighting?

Yes! We did buy it like that. I am a beginner and just bumped into this website. Is there a way of making it better?

I had the water tested and all parameters are up to par.

Next time make sure to only buy healthy corals!!

To make it better you should just keep the tank with good parameters- nitrate, phosphate, salinity, temperature, etc. If the environment is good then the plate coral should recover.

If it looks pale (which it does to my eyes) then move it to low light and feed it a tiny bit every couple of days. They will take most anything you feed your fish. Just don't over feed... It will regain it's color and you can move it out to brighter light a little at a time. It appears to have been light shocked.
