Oneslowsaleen
I have a 29 BC I have nothing in the tank besides a couple frag zoas and basic CUC . I read that they are reef safe and should be in a tank 30 gallons or more, would I be ok putting this fish in my tank ? Link to comment
GTi
It's a very active fish. Does a lot of feeding on the glass and live rock for pods and small inverts. Mine would also eat pellets. Link to comment
EasyRider
Great little fish, mine took just a few days before taking mysis, cyclops, and NLS pellets (0.5mm, they have tiny mouths). Does actively eat pods, mine ate some unwanted algae too. He used to sleep by biting onto a glass thermometer I had been using, just clamped on and floated there all night, super adorable. Never touched any of my coral or CUC. Plus they're being captive bred, what's not to love? Note that they are very small (~1") and aren't the strongest swimmers. Link to comment
Oneslowsaleen
I think I'm going add one as my first fish , with in next few weeks! He will be ok in a 29 gallon biocube which is prob more like 24 gallons? Link to comment
EasyRider
I think that'd be OK, I wouldn't recommend them for anything smaller than that though, they seem to be pretty active. I had mine in a 35 hexagon which is 24" tall, he utilized the vertical space well, picked pods off the glass and equipment I had up high. Personality-wise, they do seem to show a little interest in what's outside the tank, although not quite the curiosity level of a puffer, which is what I had hoped. Definitely a little bit timid, and spent a fair amount of time behind my rockwork, even though his only tankmates were a totally aloof purple firefish and a scarlet skunk cleaner shrimp. Not afraid to take food from the surface or water column in the presence of others though, and was out in the open pretty often too. Let me know if you have any other questions! Link to comment
Tamberav
I have one in a 45g, active, tiny... and wonderful! Mine is always out cruising. Link to comment

Or for some other reason? They're CB, I wouldn't worry too much about diseases...as long as it's a good eater you're probably safe to put it in the main display after a week. Edit: But if you're trying to take ever precaution I believe 30 days is the appropriate QT time for new fish if they don't develop any signs of illness. Link to comment
waytoospicy
i have a pair in my 25 and they are great to watch, always swimming around and eat mysis and flakes. If you want to feed them pellets, you'll need the tiny size as 1MM size is too big for their mouth. Link to comment

Oneslowsaleen
So he has been in the main tank for almost a week now, he is very active and eats everything he can fit in his tiny mouth. I have recently noticed two spots on him though, maybe someone can give me some insight on what it might be ? Link to comment
