crusoe
Hey guys, was trolling reefcentral when I stumbled across this fish store - anyone try any of these out? They are the least expensive airstone skimmers I've found to date http://www.fish-street.com/nano_air_wood_protein_skimmer http://www.fish-street.com/dymax_iq5_nano_protein_skimmer Link to comment
tk-it-ez
The second one looks good. I would try that one. Link to comment
ajmckay
I would agree the second one. I don't have good luck with suction cups long term. On a side note realize that fish-street is in China so expect to pay probably $15-$20 for shipping and for it to take a while. Link to comment
crusoe
Yea, I'm thinking second one as well. They do have a US warehouse so fingers crossed it would come from there. For $16 can't really go wrong, I'll be the guinea pig on this one. Going to pick up an RODI unit as well: http://www.aquasafecanada.com/products/4-stage-portable-100-gpd-ro-di-aquarium-water-filtration-system.html Link to comment

braaap
Sounds like a winning establishment They might have a crappy website and terrible translation but I don't know of anyone who has had a poor experience with them for the value they get. Link to comment
Nanofreak79
Yes...emails that have terrible translation of our English language. "Eric" is a awesome CS rep. Little story...my skimmer cup didn't fit right and was a little loose. They sent another skimmer and let me keep the old one. I only had to send one email to get it fixed, no arguing. Link to comment

I have dealt with a few Chinese companies. At least 3 of them have a CSR named Eric. Fish Street has always been good to me though. I agree with the above statements about the suction cup thing not a good idea. I tried a few airstone skimmers in my pico none seemed to work very well and getting them adjusted can be a pita. I bought a Tunze 9001 from In Tank. I have been very happy with the Tunze. Link to comment
