I know it's not as glorious of a subject as a tang in a 10 gallon...

Lmao no need for the pity party

As long as it's not brown or white it should be alive. You can check by seeing if it's still fluorescent

I've noticed my new fresh coralline growth is often a lighter colour and it darkens as it matures. Coralline goes white generally when it's not getting enough light and dying.

Thanks guys. It's really weird, it literally glows under the blues but only for about a day before spreading. Very interesting. I'll update as things progress.

My first ten gallon I had when I was 18. Within a couple weeks coraline was growing on everything. Haven't had that type of growth since so this glowing coraline is new territory.

I think once you get your parameters in check with Alk and Calc and keep the phosphates low then you'll see an explosion of coralline where you probably wish you didn't...
