TJ_Burton
Thats pretty cool! Kind of tempted.. Need to do alot of research, dont know much about vivs/frogs I'll tell you from experience, even the MSRP seems low IMO and the 50% off deal seems ridiculous... SOOO much tech and equipment in an extremely clean package for extremely low cost. I mean, it even has and HD camera you can use to monitor the enclosure from your phone! Link to comment

TJ_Burton
Yea that all seems legit. Just dnt know if id go through with setting a viv up. Well, its surprisingly similar to reefing, so I would bet that most reefers would love it; I actually know quite a few hobbyists who already do both. But its also personal taste, so if you don't think you'd dig it, no worries there. Link to comment

Seems like a mess with all the small bugs and such. lol. The frogs are stunning though. Link to comment

The plants with a waterfall and stuff would be cool. Have a hard time with feeding for frogs. Seems like a mess with all the small bugs and such. lol. The frogs are stunning though. Culturing fruit flies is easy, and feeding is simple too. Culturing rotifers takes more work by far, same with brine shrimp etc. Not for everyone, but yeah, stunning to say the least. Link to comment
TJ_Burton
Quick update,Haven't finished the centerpiece yet, however, I have made some decent progress. Probably get it finished off tonight; it takes a while since you have to wait between each layer of spray foam...The process so far:- Build egg crate base - Position driftwood- Drill holes in driftwood & affix to base with zip ties- Spray foam inside and outside of base- Remove excess egg crate / foam with rotary tool- Carve / sculpt remaining foam to match woodStill left to do:- Cover foam in silicon and peat moss- Select areas to apply Hygrolon grow mediaSome pics of where I am currently at with this piece Link to comment
TJ_Burton
Got the Hygrolon grow fabric glued into place - basically the entire center of the stump, and a little here and there on the exterior.Next I just have to do the silicon and peat moss! Link to comment
TJ_Burton
I have some pretty cool photos of the stump coming! One before the silicon and peat moss, then another after. Should give you folks a really good idea of how it looks! Link to comment
TJ_Burton
Tonight I am basically getting all the tech/equipment on the viv up and running while I wait for the stump to cure; should have a viv running and ready for planting by Friday! Link to comment
