Oneslowsaleen
Do any of you use epoxy to hold your live rocks in place? If so what brand did you use? I'm having trouble keeping two of my smaller rocks in place , the tank is new and just starting to cycle, I would like to solve this problem before I go ahead an add anything to my tank . Any advice is appreciated! Link to comment

Hig789
You can get the stick, Oatley I think is the brand, in the plumbing section at a hardware store. It is a putty that you kned together to activate it. A lot cheaper than the reef use branded ones. Anything that's safe for potable water will be okay though. A big glob of super glue is always a option also. Link to comment
spectra
Yep go to home depot and get the stick epoxy that is for potable water. I used it in my set up and maybe costs 4 bucks a stick if that. Link to comment
Oneslowsaleen
Im going tomorrow to get some I used both epoxy and coral glue both unhappy with. Link to comment
ajmckay
Sometimes I'll use both epoxy and superglue because the epoxy by itself doesn't really stick to rock perfectly unless there's some good holes and stuff to fill. So apply a glob of super glue gel, then stick the epoxy putty, then glue on top of that, then other rock. IME that works well even with wet slimy rocks. Link to comment
Bingo1213
Plus one to the super glue and epoxy trick. I have a very tall tank so almost all my rock is both glued and epoxied. Falling rock is dangerous to your tank itself and inhabitants. Well worth the time to glue it! Link to comment
hey
yep another +1 for jb water weld and loctite superglue gel. pretty easy stuff to work with... also easy to pull apart if you decide you want to change the structure. Link to comment
